Greece, officially the Hellenic Republic is a country in southeastern Europe, situated on the southern end of the Balkan Peninsula. This country has borders with Albania, the Republic of Macedonia and Bulgaria to the north, and Turkey to the east. The Aegean Sea lies to the east and south of mainland Greece, while the Ionian Sea lies to the west. Both parts of the Eastern Mediterranean basin feature a vast number of islands, islets and rock islands.

In Aegean Sea I visited Samos Island, which is one of the most agricultural islands in Greece. Very famous is Samos wine, which is main wine of Vatican City in Rome. Samos has common borders with Turkey, so if you visit Samos, I recommend you one day boat trip to historical place in Turkey - Efes.

Second island I have visited in Greece is Lefkada, located in Ionian Sea. This island is famous for its great beaches. The most famous beach is Porto Katsiki, which is rated in top 10 beaches in the world! Egremni is also wonderful beach with less tourism and for that, I like Egremni more than Porto Katsiki.

No matter, which island in Greece you'll visit, greek people are nice and very friendly and you will be happy in this country of famous history and great nature...
